“I was born and raised in East San Jose and as a child of Vietnamese immigrants who settled in San Jose to find freedom and opportunity; I learned at a young age that education is important. I attended Goss, Lyndale, and Pala schools. These Alum Rock Schools instilled a love for learning and taught valuable skills, which helped me earn a Master’s degree in Education from Stanford University.
